Despite the Nintendo Switch 2 having been officially announced earlier this year, potential customers are none the wiser as to how much the next-gen handheld could cost.
However, according to a recent leak by none other than a Canadian Costco, we may now have a slight idea how much we will be expected to fork out.
Check out the announcement trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 below!
Announced back in January, the Nintendo Switch 2 was the worst kept secret in gaming history but nonetheless, it is an exciting time for fans of the Nintendo handhelds.

With the Nintendo Switch offering players access to hit titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it is no surprise that fans are excited for its next iteration.
Although Nintendo will be hosting a livestream event in April where it will no doubt talk more about the Nintendo Switch 2 as well as a possible price and release date, for now, we are relying on leaks.
In a thread found on Famiboards, a Costco employee shared an image of an internal project listing as well as a sales floor sign that many have attributed to the Nintendo Switch 2.
More excitingly, however, is the price which has been used which marks the Nintendo Switch successor as retailing at $499 CAD, which equates to around $350 USD.

If this is true, this is a remarkably low price for the Nintendo Switch 2 but would make sense considering that the Nintendo president recently spoke out about the company’s goal to take customer’s finances into account.
The news of the potential Switch 2 price broke online and it wasn’t long before a discussion took place over on the Nintendo Wire Twitter account.
“If it actually ends up being under $400, I would be stunned,” one user said.
Another agreed, saying, “If this price range ends up being real I'll be very happy. My family doesn’t have a lot of money so equally a lower price like that would make it easier to afford imo.”

Of course, this price tag has not been confirmed so it is worth taking with a pinch of salt.
However, it would be reassuring to see Nintendo stick to its word about keeping its upcoming handhelds a lot more affordable during a cost of living crisis.
