The Nintendo Switch 2 is expected to be officially unveiled early next year but thanks to third-party manufacturers, we already have our first look at what we can expect.
It is no secret that the Nintendo Switch has been worth its weight in gold over recent years with the latest Nintendo handheld being a must-buy for every gamer.
However, after seven years, it is time to tuck our Nintendo Switch away in order to make room for its bigger and better successor.

Go back to where it all began with the Nintendo Switch reveal trailer below!
Although Nintendo is yet to reveal the Nintendo Switch 2 officially, third-party manufacturers have somehow got their hands on the model specifications and specs and have sent out a batch of mock-up handhelds.
As a result, we can now see our first glimpse at the highly-anticipated console and, despite looking pretty similar to its predecessor, a recent video has shown us quite an impressive difference.

Courtesy of Nintendo reporter Pory over on Twitter, the Joy-Cons for the Nintendo Switch 2 will work a bit differently to those of the Nintendo Switch.
Instead of being able to slide them onto the handheld like before, they are instead fitted with magnets so the Joy-Cons can snap easily onto the side.
This makes things a whole lot easier but due to this design change, it is unclear if the current Joy-Cons will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch which some owners were hoping for.
Other than that, the Joy-Cons look pretty similar to before, other than a mysterious ‘C-button’ according to Pory.

It is hard to tell exactly what it is in the video but we are sure it will be confirmed alongside Nintendo’s official unveiling in 2025.
In the meantime, potential customers expressed their thoughts over this new reveal.
“I'm really, really, really hoping that the Switch 2 has something more interesting and exciting involved than just "Ooh, it's a slightly more powerful Switch with magnetic joycons!" user Ultrabombz expressed.
Deathclawcito added, “Screen is pretty damn big compared to the Oled. I wonder if there will be two models because this will be huge for a kid to use.”
