Nintendo is finally bringing back one of gaming’s best duos from the days of N64 and ushering them onto the Nintendo Switch.
Banjo-Tooie, the sequel to the equally brilliant Banjo-Kazooie, will be landing on Nintendo Switch Online as part of the N64 line-up on 25 October.
Remasters, remakes, and reissues make the world go round and Tomb Raider knows it.
Finally, the bird and the bear are back and can be enjoyed by all. Let’s rejoice, celebrate, and spread joy about this, much like the folks of Twitter.

If a tweet needed all caps, it’s this one from IntroSpekitive, “CASUALLY DROPPING THIS ON TWITTER LIKE THE 2 BANJO GAMES AREN'T BACK ON A NINTENDO CONSOLE??”
The hype is deserved. Not only are the two Banjo-Kaooie games brilliant 3D platformers, but they’re gems in retro gaming history, coming from one of the best developers to ever do it, Rare Entertainment.
To hell with it, let’s have some more caps, this time from HMKIlla who is liberal with exclamation marks too, “YES YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!”
Of course, we have to remain aware that Microsoft owns Rare and has done nothing with the developer’s back catalogue.

This is brought to our attention by another Twitter user who simply said, “If only Xbox could remember…”
This has spawned waves of Nintendo fans asking for more classic games to be added to the service and I stand behind them all.
“Great now do DK64!” says one user. While another said, “Add Smash 64 next.” Then there’s the other obvious choice, “Add my boy Conker next!”
Nintendo has always been a little behind on bringing big classics to their modern platforms but in recent months, they’ve begun to focus on their back catalogue a lot more.

Hopefully, this will light a larger fire under the Japanese publisher to bring back retro games.
Let’s leave the last word to crazy_payne93 who wants what we want, “That’s great and all….but what would really make fans happy….is if we actually had a new Banjo Kazooie game.”
