With the reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2, fans began to build excitement for the launch games we’ll see, but not only those, the future of Nintendo first-party titles.

We’ve already had glimpses of the newest Donkey Kong game, as well as Mario Kart World, and fans will start looking forward to Mario’s next 3D adventure, and of course, the inevitable Animal Crossing.

How long before Animal Crossing for the Switch 2 is announced?

Animal Crossing has become a beloved franchise for Nintendo, and while you could say the success of the last outing was amplified due to everyone being stuck indoors due to a global pandemic, the series always sells millions of copies.

Nintendo fans are clamouring for the next game in the series, and those over on Reddit are asking, “Are you planning to get a Nintendo Switch 2, or wait for a possible Animal Crossing Switch 2?”

Players are quick to jump in and give their thoughts, with the top comment saying, “I’ll wait until it gets a standalone AC before buying one.”

Another Redditor says, “Waiting until there is at least a new AC game to get one! A new AC switch would be awesome.”

The next Animal Crossing title will surely be a system seller, with so many fans out there.

As soon as Nintendo announces the next instalment, sales of the new hardware will skyrocket.

When this happens, we’ll likely see a dedicated Animal Crossing console, which will please this fan who says, “I’m hoping for an Animal Crossing console.”

One crafty fan will be snagging a console with one thing in mind - “I am considering getting it so that I can have another New Horizons island,” says IdyllicRiver.

Of course, there are those who think that Nintendo will slap an $80 price point on the next game, but if you’re putting in hundreds of hours, that isn’t a bad price.
