Grand Theft Auto VI leakers believe the upcoming title will let players edit and change the open-world.
It’s safe to say Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most highly-anticipated games of all time, and it’s not a surprise either. Rockstar Games struck gold with the release of Grand Theft Auto V, which has now passed over 180 million sales across Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms.
Rockstar recently announced a re-release of Red Dead Redemption, check it out below!
The next entry in the series aims to be even bigger, reportedly boasting an enormous map filled with new, and returning areas to explore, as well as a range of new gameplay features and activities.

Now, leakers are citing a recent datamine as evidence the upcoming game might allow players to edit and alter the open world to their liking, meaning big things for modders, roleplayers and more.
In a threat on GTA Forums, insider Tez2 shared similarities in code between various Rockstar games, namely Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption titles.
They also shared scripts from Grand Theft Auto Online, which were reportedly made with creator tools, and theorised that some of these tools may be carried over, or are already present, in Grand Theft Auto VI.
Tez2 said: “These new tool/s are more of level editors, part of the creator/UGC system, benefiting designers. But if those tools were more meant for VI and simply backported to GTAO, then there could be more to them than benefiting designers.”

This means that normal players could have access to these tools and scripts in their own gameplay scenarios, such as where various NPCs go, how they behave, etc.
Tez2 went on to say: “This is where I could see them involving the role-playing community. Both Rockstar and Take-Two have seen the potential of role-play and wouldn’t want to miss out on that if VI is set to last a decade ahead.”
Admittedly, the idea we could tweak and change the world of GTA VI is very exciting, if it’s true. Rockstar still hasn’t made a move in regards to revealing the game or announcing a release date, though its publisher Take-Two has hinted it’ll release in 2025.
Hopefully, official news is shared later this year, otherwise, we’ve still got a very long wait ahead of us before we get a glimpse of one of the biggest games of the decade.
