Hogwarts Legacy is set to receive some form of update in November, though details on what it could be remain a mystery.
Fans have been begging for more content to be added to the game for ages now, as once you’ve been the main story there’s really no reason to keep playing.
Luckily there’s a new Harry Potter game to dive into, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
While Warner Bros has stated its interest in pursuing a sequel to the best-selling Harry Potter game it’s been very quiet about DLC, though it’s believed some form of update is on the way in November.

It’s said the Hogwarts Legacy update will coincide with the release of Sony’s new PlayStation 5 Pro, a console that’s been picked apart online by fans for its few differences to the base model PS5, but enormous difference in price.
In an X post by RetroRaconteur, it’s been theorised because “Hogwarts Legacy was shown running on the new hardware” fans should “expect some sort of update to the game before November. No idea if it will include anything else or just be an update for PS5 Pro.”
In all likelihood if the game is getting an update it’ll likely be some form of optimisation patch for the PS5 Pro, useless to the majority of players who won’t be dropping £700 on Sony’s next console.
Fans said as much in a Reddit thread on the same topic, with one player saying “my base PS5 is perfectly fine. Zero reason for me to buy a Pro.”

“I don't expect an update. I mean Avalanche hasn't announced it months in advance. In all seriousness I wouldn't be surprised if they just did an update to support the game better on this new version of the PS5,” added another.
So, don’t get your hopes up as unless you’ve got a spare £700 lying around, whatever update is on the cards for Hogwarts Legacy probably won’t apply to you.
