One small change can have a significant impact; GTA fans are proof of this.
Rockstar Games recently updated its GTA VI website to make room for upcoming videos, screenshots, etc, and fans reacted accordingly.
Which is to say they went wild.

The GTA fandom first became aware of the updates when Twitter account @GTAVI_Countdown shared a shot of the website.

“Rockstar has just added GTA V to the website’s database, which includes placeholders for 4 screenshots, cover art and the release date,” the tweet reads. “Do you expect an announcement soon?”

This evidence that Rockstar is actually doing something despite its silence caused gamers to fill down the rabbit hole of speculation.
In the words of a Redditor, “Gentlemen, it's time again. Prepare to overanalyse.”
An additional air of mystery was added when Rockstar took the new page down. However, GTA sleuths noticed that the code still remains.
Despite many of the fans knowing that they’re at risk of playing the clown once more, that isn’t stopping them from getting their hopes up.
Having looked at all the different aspects of the code, one individual said, “I would assume all this would go live at the same time, meaning between now and the investor calls.”

“If it goes live, then we are likely to get pre orders and even the release date for GTA VI!” they eagerly added.
The jury’s still out on whether the release of the new game will go according to plan; as theorised by an industry analyst, the launch of GTA VI could be delayed until 2026.
Delays look unlikely with Rockstar preparing website changes. However, due to its enigmatic approach to this game, it could just be messing with us to get the hype train steaming ahead again.
