Grand Theft Auto 5 players think Rockstar is dropping all of its October content drops for the game early so they don’t clash with GTA 6’s reveal later this month.

Fans have been counting down the days till the official reveal of Grand Theft Auto VI, and fans are wholeheartedly convinced an announcement will happen by the end of this month.

This is largely due to previous game announcements by Rockstar, most notably Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2, both of which were revealed in late October, meaning it is highly likely the same will be said for Grand Theft Auto VI.

Now, fans think this theory is more credible than ever, following the latest content drops for Grand Theft Auto Online, which was released to celebrate Halloween.

A Reddit user called TheRealCVDY made a post saying: “Is it just me, or does it seem like Rockstar has been releasing literally everything they had planned for October over the past few days? They’ve made multiple posts a day on all their social media covering multiple different things added to or brought back to GTA Online over the past 3-4 days, much more active than normal.

“Lastly, in relevance to GTA VI, could they be dropping everything right now to let everyone enjoy it for the next 2 weeks or so before teasing/announcing the game? Just speculation.”

Obviously, this is pure speculation, but it is interesting that most of the new/returning content for Grand Theft Auto Online is being released early in the month as opposed to staggered releases.

So far we’ve seen an abundance of gameplay leaks for GTA VI, most of which show the game in an unfinished state, and many other leaks have surfaced revealing details about its enormous open world, characters, and mysteries we’ll be able to find in Vice City. With so many leaks crawling out of the woodwork, it’s more and more likely that Rockstar will finally give us what we want, and show us the game that’s just short of 10 years in the making.

When it releases, GTA VI will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and possibly PC.
