Fallout and Elder Scrolls YouTuber Joseph Wilson, also known as MittenSquad, has passed away at the age of 27.
The YouTuber gained popularity on the platform for “challenge runs” of fan-favourite Bethesda games like Fallout New Vegas, and entries in The Elder Scrolls series. These challenges would consist of beating the game with self-enforced rules and restrictions to make the game harder.
Popular examples are “no-hit” runs, which would require MittenSquad to beat the entire game without taking a single bit of damage from enemies. Some could also involve only using a specific weapon, or other parameters that required more strategy and skill than your average playthrough.

Wilson also attempted challenges in other titles, like GTA V, Bioshock and Far Cry.
Amassing over 1.4 million subscribers, MittenSquad became a beloved part of the online communities, many of its members are heartbroken to hear of his passing.
On 14 July 2022, MittenSquad shared his final video before taking a long break from uploads. He'd provide updates to his fans on social media, saying “I will upload again, eventually.” He'd also inform his fans about his current health and wellbeing.
Fans heard nothing for a time, before earlier this week when an obituary was found confirming Wilson had passed away.

Fans are understandably devastated, but are now rallying together to ensure the joy MittenSquad and his videos brought to the community lives on. Several pleas to Bethesda have been made online, asking if there can be some sort of memorial added to one of the Bethesda RPGs he loved so much, as well as a place players and fans can go to pay their respects to the content creator.
