The new DLC expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, will add new endings for V, and fans are wondering if they’ll be better than the ones in the base game.
Spoilers ahead for several Cyberpunk 2077 endings.
Cyberpunk 2077 has once again seen a resurgence in popularity. This is partly thanks to the new 2.0 Update, which completely overhauls the game with new features, gameplay improvements and other changes fans have been demanding since launch.

The game’s developer, CD Projekt Red, has even encouraged players to start a brand-new playthrough to experience the new changes at their best.
Aside from that though, it’s nearly time for players to download the new DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty, which takes V and Johnny Silverhand on a brand-new adventure set in a new location, Dog Town. We recently got the chance to try it out, and we can confidently say it’s one of the best expansions we’ve ever played.

In addition to the new area, a new story is set to unfold, starring Idris Elba as a new main character, who you can’t bang, and will play a vital role in V’s development as a character.
Speaking of V, the DLC will unlock new endings for their story, and fans are wondering if they’ll be able to top the existing ones found in the base game.
Cyberpunk fan makavelinow shared a post asking saying: “Phantom Liberty added few more new endings, Do you guys think they are able to top the "Don't Fear The Reaper" ending? For me, this ending set the bar so high.”
“I've only seen one place really comment on the endings because of spoilers, and they said that the PL endings are great and it's worth experiencing both, and the main game ending that gets unlocked is phenomenal, maybe the best.”

“Don't Fear the Reaper was my first ending … Never gonna forget taking on Adam Smasher and killing him in a single hit.”
“Narratively speaking, I liked The Devil the best. But I'll say I've never felt so badass in a video game as when I did Don't Fear the Reaper.”
It’ll be interesting to see how the fan consensus changes once the DLC releases, and whether or not people will prefer the new endings more.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be released on 26 September.
