A continuation of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag’s story has been long requested by fans.
Having been strangely enchanted by Edward Kenyway, despite his many flaws, we’ve longed to know more about his travels.
Finally, we’re going to get an official sequel to Kenway’s adventuring.

Better yet, this new chapter will be released this year, meaning we won’t have to endure speculation and so-called leaks like we have regarding the Black Flag remake.
Assassin's Creed: Forgotten Temple is scheduled for an autumn 2025 release, and will follow Kenway “as he sets sail across the mysterious waters of South Asia in search of hidden secrets and untold treasures!”
Ah, remember the first time we saw the Black Flag story trailer? Good times
X account @VIZMedia shared the news, which has been greeted with excitement from the Assassin’s Creed fandom.

Described as a sequel they “didn’t see coming”, this is a way for one of the best AC titles to gather momentum while we await that remake.
“Wooo something canon to the goat,” remarked @brownmanplays.
We’re not usually an outlet that uses expletives to express emotions, but given the hype surrounding this upcoming launch, it feels right to share this one post from @wasabiman81.
“F**K YES,” they said.

Evidently, Kenway’s return is something the majority of the AC community has been waiting for.
Some naysayers claim that Ubisoft’s franchise has turned into “garbage” and this is its way to try and remedy that, but their comments are in the minority.

Beyond its front cover reveal and the brief excerpt provided by VIZ Media, we don’t know much about this sequel.
The only additional detail worth mentioning is that this is a “manga release”, as confirmed by the OP.
We expect an exact release date to be given later in the year, so for now we have the ambiguous “Fall 2025” window – similar to the GTA VI fandom. There’s a crossover no one saw coming!
After so long without Kenway on the high seas, we’re just glad he is coming back.
