It’s only a few days to go until the full release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. It genuinely feels a bit odd saying that, as it seems that wherever you go online, you’ll be greeted with waves upon waves of people already playing it.
Anyone who preordered the title was given a very nice bonus - access to the campaign a full week early. It's been going down super well, too, with some players praising it as one of the series' very best.
While you’re here, check out some third-person gameplay from the Modern Warfare II beta below.
As reported by Dexerto, many fans now believe that releasing future campaigns early may be the way forward for the franchise, with some noting that it gives time for players to enjoy the story mode, rather than feeling they have to stay caught up with the multiplayer.

“I think the Activision decision to release campaign early was really a great decision? Should be the norm for any Call of Duty game from here on,” Reddit user Sunapr1 wrote. “Never [have I] seen so many people talking about it, it genuinely made me excited to play the game and come back to Twitter or this subreddit to see how others have reacted this campaign. I feel Activision should do this for the next MW campaigns too.”
“Hard agree, I normally play the campaign anyway but I always have my friends wanting to play MP asap, this time even my MP friends have played it and enjoyed it,” replied random_banana_bloke. “Agreed. Releasing campaign a week early every year would allow more people who normally skip the campaign to maybe give it a go,” added Breezii2z. “Absolutely! I would have been neck deep on MP right now with the campaign being almost an after thought. Or I would play it when I need a break from MP. This is the way!” agreed chemicalxbonex.
