Mass Effect has millions of fans just pining for a new game. At this point, we’ll take anything, and thankfully there’s a brilliant board game coming from Modiphius.
Unsurprisingly, it’s already a hit with fans, but that’s mostly because of the gorgeous miniature figures that come with the game and can be bought as an expansion, too.

The images show off fully painted versions of Shepard, Tali, Garrus, and the rest of the crew.
Of course, the Reddit thread is full of praise for the painting, but also the miniatures which would add to a collection for Mass Effect fans.
LucinaDraws said, “Omg Wrex looks amazing and Tali! Wow”
While Rapdactyl lamented not being able to paint miniatures, “I really wish there was a version of this game with painted models. My hands twitch so I could never paint miniatures like this myself, so I'd love it if I could get something like these out of the box.”

The board game is an RPG that can be played solo or with a group of friends co-operatively, across several missions that last around 45-60 minutes.
The addition of the models makes the game feel much more dynamic and it’s going to be great to see how players decorate their crew.
The thread has become a wholesome conversation about how great the games are, and how good the models look, with the artist giving advice to would-be painters.
It’s a lovely collection of people just raving about the little models, “These all look incredible, but Wrex especially looks downright beautiful!” said WookieSin.
