Alright, we’re back on this one again. But now Marvel have officially responded to the fan theory that pondered whether Ant-Man should have shrunk down, got all up inside Thanos’ bootyhole and expanded to finish off the Titan once and for all. Maybe now we can all have some closure.
The response comes from none other than Ant-Man himself, with actor Paul Rudd in character as Scott Lang. This isn’t actually the first time Rudd has addressed the theory. On his excellent Hot Ones episode, he explains that he thinks the Avengers films missed a trick by not having Ant-Man do the business nobody else would ever want to do.
Maybe Thanos can get some respite in The Lands Between away from all this butthole chatter. Check out this mod that puts him and Thor in Elden Ring.
Okay so, the response actually comes from a bit of a weird place, but it’s still totally official and from Marvel, so it counts. Aboard The Disney Wish cruise line which is due to set sail soon, there’s a Marvel-themed dining experience called Avengers: Quantum Encounter where a video featuring Ant-Man alongside the Wasp (played by Evangeline Lilly) welcomes guests in. Naturally, this video has leaked so, check it out below.
"Before we start, let me address the elephant in the room," Rudd starts. "I've heard a lot of chatter out there asking why I didn't shrink down, go in, and kill Thanos in a really creative way. First of all, gross. Secondly, it's much more complicated than that. Allow me to explain..."

It’s here that Rudd is cut off by Lily, so we the fans don’t actually have an explanation as to why he didn’t do it, but it’s pretty neat that it’s now official Marvel canon that people were asking that question. The rest of the Avengers: Quantum Experience features a slap up meal, and a presentation on some of the most iconic tech and gadgets from the MCU.
