The new Marvel Ultimates comics are still going full steam ahead and bringing in new iterations of some of the most beloved heroes and villains.
This Ultimates run remakes the entirety of the Marvel canon by placing new characters in familiar roles, and one of these happens to be Hawkeye.
Marvel Rivals is pulling in millions of players and millions of dollars
For those not up to date, the latest Hawkeye isn’t Clint Barton, but instead Charli Ramsey, an indigenous American who took on the role after Barton threw away his gear.

And fans on Reddit are loving them.
“So far, I love them. Ultimates did a great job at taking the original spirit of pre-Fraction Hawkeye (loose cannon outlaw with a chip on their shoulder), and pushing the boundaries of that concept,” said one fan.
User BroadRed agrees, saying, “I am a fan, I really like this version of the character.”
I’m yet to read this issue as I’m so far behind on my Ultimates reading, but it’s great to hear that so many fans love the new character.

“Love them. That whole issue was so good,” notes DeGameNerd.
As each new character comes in, they form part of this new version of Earth and take up a role we’re already familiar with.
Hawkeye has, so far, only appeared in a few issues, but their impact is already impressive.
“He had fun banter with Cap. It was neat to see his different perspectives on stuff, and also it was cool that he was younger, and he may end up being kind of a Robin to Cap’s Batman,” comments GameZDisplay.

The praise keeps coming with this from BladeofJustice7, “Hawkeye's so human, complex, and full of nuance.”
The popularity of the current comic run makes me wonder if Marvel are testing the waters for possible MCU changes to existing characters after the events of the Avengers duology of films to come.
