Over the years, many stars have taken on the role of DC's caped crusader, and each have brought something new and special to the character. Although at the end of the day, Batman is still Batman, each portrayal of him has been unique.
However, fans agree that the late Kevin Conroy’s Batman is the very best of them all. The American actor voiced the beloved DC character in Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League, and the Arkham video games, just to name a few things. He sadly passed away last year, but fans remain adamant that his portrayal will never be topped.
Conroy voiced Batman in the excellent 2009 action-adventure Batman: Arkham Asylum. Take a look below.
Responding to a thread asking Twitter users which voice actor “crushed a role so hard that nobody else will be able to live up to it”, @ComicLoverMari posted: “Kevin Conroy is Batman.”
Others are in total agreement: “There have been many talented voice actors who have done amazing work for Batman, but Kevin Conroy will always be top of the list,” @ZanePaul1 added. “Best Batman ever and it’s not even close,” tweeted @Sir_SiriusBLACK. “Unfortunately I doubt there will ever be a pair that better personify Batman and the the Joker than Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. Between BTAS, New Adventures, JL/U, the Arkham games and more. What an iconic pair. RIP Kevin,” wrote @MaddieMcGee6.

Following the announcement of Conroy’s death last year, Diane Pershing, who voiced Poison Ivy in Batman: The Animated Series, wrote: “Very sad news: our beloved voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, died yesterday. He’s been ill for a while but he really put in a lot of time at the cons, to the joy of all of his fans. He will be sorely missed not just by the cast of the series but by his legion of fans all over the world.”
