Hogwarts Legacy already boasts some impressive visuals, making it an absolute joy to explore the School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, as well as its surrounding areas. That being said, there is a way to make the game even better if you’re on PC. The Ultra+ graphics mod, created by SammiLucia, completely overhauls the game’s visual quality, as well as improves its overall performance. For starters, the lighting is significantly improved and can be modified to suit your own preference. Ray-traced water and several other graphical changes also make the world feel much more vibrant and alive.

The mod also improves view distance, meaning you can spot your next adventure from much further away - a brilliant change if you enjoy flying around the map on a broomstick or magical creature. Performance also gets a significant boost, creating a much steadier frame-rate with fewer drops and stutters, which makes magical battles feel much more fluid and realistic.
The Ultra+ mod is definitely worth adding to your game, arguably being the definitive version in terms of graphical fidelity and performance enhancements. If you’re a gamer who priorities gorgeous environments, or consistent performance, this mod has something for everyone.
It’s not the only mod worth trying out though, as the modding community for Hogwarts Legacy have been going wild recently adding a variety of features they wanted to see in the base game. This includes a morality/crime system that actually punishes you for using dark magic, online multiplayer, and even a mod that turns all wands into guns.
