Hogwarts Legacy players lament over the romantic tension of a major NPC in the game and fans have been discussing, what if?
Hogwarts Legacy not only offers a wonderful location like never before to explore in the Wizarding World, but it’s also brim full of charismatic NPCs to interact with. Sadly, however, an organic compassion system is something not present in the game, to the dismay of fans.
What’s more, as well as not having a proper companion system, a romance system is also not a thing in Hogwarts Legacy. However, that hasn't stopped fans from discussing on Reddit, what could have been.

One particular NPC being discussed is Poppy Sweeting. The Reddit thread was full of complimentary comments towards the popular NPC, such as “If there were relationships in the game, Poppy would definitely be my MC’ girlfriend,” said Georgia_Couple99.
“Poppy is my favourite, I wish they gave us romance options,” exclaimed The_Crazy_Crusader and “Poppy ended up being my favourite companion,” agreed Morgan_713.

However, the Reddit discussion wasn't all about Poppy Sweeting. Such as Caleger88, who said: “I prefer Ominis, but Poppy would be my MCs Best Friend,” or as vitunnice simply puts it: “Naah Reyes is the one.”
It is a shame that Hogwarts Legacy doesn't have tasteful romance options or even a proper companion system. In a huge action RPG such as this one, it does feel like a missed opportunity. However, perhaps the developers at Avalanche Software will implement those highly requested features should a sequel happen one day.
Hogwarts Legacy is out now for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. As for last-gen and Nintendo Switch owners, you’ll have to be a little more patient. Hogwarts Legacy will release on 4th April for PS4 and Xbox One, and then for Nintendo Switch on 25th, July.
