It's the best book in the series, probably the best film too, so fans are understandably in agreement that a trip to Azkaban would make for the perfect DLC for Hogwarts Legacy.
The sole idea of Azkaban, the Dementors and the overall gritty tone of the third part of Harry Potter's story, means it has great appeal. While it's been decades since I read the books, Prisoner of Azkaban always stayed constant in my mind.

So, when a fan went to Reddit to voice their request, they were met with agreement. The post starts, "I would love a DLC story expansion with Azkaban as the central plotline." The user, u/dis7urbios, went on to say, "They could introduce Expecto Patronum as a new spell and Dementors as a new type of enemy while having a more 'dark' storyline around Azkaban."

The Hogwarts Legacy community began replying with gusto. The top reply was in full agreement, "The little peek inside Azkaban was absolutely horrifying... so yes I agree." While another says "Yeah, I could see a questline for Azkaban involving either a rescue or capture."
Any mention of Azkaban usually excites Harry Potter fans no end. The prison and its Dementor guards are iconic for the fear they both instil. It was a turning point in the series that hinted towards the darker future we would end up seeing. Whether Hogwarts Legacy gets this as DLC is yet to be seen. Something as monumental as Azkaban could be central to the inevitable sequel.
One reply from u/ogojo agrees, but also puts in a request for more features in possible DLC, "Yeah that would be awesome. Would also love an explorable Gringotts packed full of them crazy roller coasters taking you from one area to the other."
Who knows where the game could go next, there's plenty of material to inspire future additions.
