Last Friday, Hogwarts Legacy fans finally got the news they’ve been waiting for. The game is set to receive new content, hurray.
The only issue is that Avalanche Software were extremely vague about what that new content is, promising further news “in the coming months”. The statement on Twitter read, “As we near the one-year anniversary of Hogwarts Legacy, we wanted to let our community know that the Hogwarts Legacy PlayStation-exclusive content will be available on other platforms later this summer, along with additional updates and features for the game.” While we’re going to have to patiently wait to find out what those updates and features are, fans have demonstrated their annoyance in the meantime at the delaying of the Haunted Hogsmeade DLC.

The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop was a quest-based DLC that launched exclusively on PlayStation. I have to admit, it’s one of the best quests in the game, featuring its fair share of spooks, and is a must-play for all Hogwarts Legacy fans. It was always advertised that the DLC had a one year exclusivity window, so Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC players thought they’d finally get to join in on the fun this coming February.

This is because the DLC originally launched in February 2023. Unfortunately though, the above tweet confirms it's actually landing this summer. “Wasn’t it supposed to be available one year after, so February? Geez,” wrote a disgruntled little-kinder on Reddit. “Yeah, that’s what they originally said. Honestly kinda mad,” added juhesihcaa.
“Summer??? I was desperately waiting for the quest to become available in February,” commented lyricalizzy99, with Lord_detleff1 stating, “My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.” Let’s hope those extra features make the wait worthwhile.
