The final countdown is on. Hogwarts Legacy is finally set to release on Nintendo Switch on 14 November.
It certainly does feel as if a portion of Hogwarts Legacy fans have been waiting for forever for this day to come. If you recall, Hogwarts Legacy first landed back in February on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The delayed PlayStation 4 and Xbox One launch then followed in May. The game did undergo some simplifications in order to run on those older consoles. Loading screens are far more prevalent, and external castle bridges were turned into internal corridors to cut down on the need to display large scale environments for a short space of time. Many wondered how the Switch would cope with the game, but gameplay looks promising and fans are super excited.

Reddit user helenaxbucket kicked off the conversation, writing that she’s been waiting for the game since launch. “Is anyone else super excited about the Nintendo Switch release?” she began. “I know the game has been out since Feb everywhere else. I watched some Twitch streams, enough to know I want this game when it comes out on Switch, and then avoided all other content like it was the plague. I know the game will be 10 months old when I get to play it, but I want it to feel brand new. Am I alone here? Is anyone else super excited about it?”

User gutenmorgenbaltimore wrote, “I'm stoked! I miss how active the subs were in the spring. I can't wait to feel the joy radiating from all the new threads of people raving about the game,” while Elenamartinez46 said, “I have already preordered the Deluxe edition.”
Loonelywolf commented, “Me. Been waiting a long time. Already played the game a lot, but having it on Switch is great.” There seems to be an even split of new players, and returning players who fancy owning Hogwarts Legacy in a portable format. Could we see the sales figures reach dizzying new heights?
