Hogwarts Legacy is fast approaching its two-year anniversary but despite the single-player game lacking in terms of post-launch content, it seems as though its players are still discovering hidden features to this day.
First released back in February 2023, Hogwarts Legacy went on to become one of the best selling games of the year, despite the controversy surrounding its links to Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.
Check out the launch trailer for Hogwarts Legacy below!
The action RPG took place in and around Hogwarts, allowing players to experience what it would be like to attend the magical school, explore its grounds and even take a trip to nearby Hogsmeade to interact with the larger wizarding world.

From taming beasts to mixing potions, and fighting dragons to learning the Unforgivable Curses, Hogwarts Legacy was a true love letter to the Harry Potter saga.
Now almost two-years on and players are still discovering all that Hogwarts has to offer and that includes a few hidden doors located around the castle.
In a Reddit post over on r/HarryPotterGame, one user shared their discovery of a hidden door found within the Gryffindor common room.
However, a comment below teases an even bigger secret.

“Hufflepuff also has a hidden door, disguised as a bookshelf. Slytherin has a hidden room behind the statue. Ravenclaw has no hidden room, that I am aware of, but they have a roof,” MeganlodonBradicus shared.
The Gryffindor secret room can be found using the tutorial below.
If you're in the Hufflepuff common room, simply face the fireplace and look to your right. There should be a bookshelf that harbours a secret door.

There is not much to note inside, other than a locked chest and a whole lot of snacks but it’s an exciting find nonetheless, and not one that players can easily stumble across.
“I’ve played over 200 hours of this game and didn’t know ANY of this!!,” one comment read.
Just goes to show that exploring will almost always pay off in our favourite open-world games.
