It is just a few days to go until a brand-new Harry Potter video game hits the virtual shelves and it seems a familiar face is set to make a return.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set to release on 3 September and as you can probably guess, this sports game by Unbroken Studios will see players mount those brooms and climb the Quidditch leaderboards.

Check out the trailer for Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions below!

The game will allow players to take up one of four positions: Seeker, Beater, Chaser or Keeper and play a series of games either solo or in co-op mode.

Additionally, Quidditch Champions will not include any microtransactions AND it is available as a day one release for PlayStation Plus subscribers.

To continue on with the good news, Unbroken Studios has revealed that a familiar face will be making a cameo in the upcoming title.

That’s right, the infamous low-res version of Hagrid from 2001’s Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone PlayStation game will be able to equip in Quidditch Champions.

Now transformed into a mask form, players will be able to ride around the Quidditch pitch whilst sporting that 2D Hagrid face and it is as amazing as you would expect.

So much so that this is the reason some people have now decided to pre-order the upcoming sports game.

“Now, this is the type of fan service I'm talking about!” One comment read over on Twitter.

Another said: “Actually GOTY, I'm not even kidding”.

As mentioned, Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will launch as a day-one release for PS Plus members.

However, non-subscribers will see the game set them back £24.99 for a standard edition, or £34.99 for the deluxe edition.

The title launches for the PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
