The day that Grand Theft Auto VI is finally announced is the day that I can breathe a sigh of relief. Everyday, I sit here, ready to spring into action - heartbeat spiking everytime I see a Rockstar Games Twitter notification.
Alas, that day has not yet arrived, but we do know quite a lot about GTA VI already. Last year, Rockstar Games was subject to a major cyber attack during which over an hour's worth of development footage was leaked online. It confirmed that GTA VI will be set in Vice City and will feature dual Bonnie and Clyde style protagonists. In recent days, 50 Cent dropped a major Vice City related teaser suggesting that an announcement of some kind could be imminent. In the meantime though, fans are envisioning what GTA VI could look like and this latest fan-made trailer has left gamers feeling divided.
Check out this incredible mod that allows you to play as The Boys’ Homelander in GTA V.
The trailer is the work of two creators known as TeaserPlay who’ve essentially imagined what GTA VI could look like if it was made in Unreal Engine 5. Remember that GTA VI is actually being made in RAGE 9. Describing the project, TeaserPlay said, “In the video, we have made a demo based on the leaked videos of GTA 6 to show how this game [could] be in Unreal Engine 5 and also to get an overall picture of the final version of the game. Note that this is only a technical demo and is different from a playable game. As always, we used the latest Unreal Engine features in this project including Lumen, Nanite, High Resolution Reflection and more.”
In the video, we essentially see a female protagonist driving around what I assume is supposed to be Vice City. Plenty were onboard with the vision. One user wrote, “Thanks for this! It gives us a glimpse of what a next-gen GTA could look like,” while another added, “Wow this looks so good. Probably the best concept I’ve seen.”

Some viewers were holding out for the real thing. One wrote, “This is amazing, but we all know it will be better than this which is insane to think about.” Hopefully, that reveal isn’t too far away.
