In a now-removed Reddit post titled 'You guys need to relax a little', a user had put it to the Grand Theft Auto community that fans were getting too hyped up about the upcoming trailer for GTA VI and that people's lives were beginning to revolve around it a little too much.
The post was removed by moderators, but not before others chimed in with their thoughts on the trailer and the excitable fan base who are getting hyped over seeing GTA VI for the first time officially.
How excited are you for the GTA VI trailer in early December?
The top reply to whether people were being 'too cringe' does agree that some member of the community "are definitely being cringe about it but this doesn't happen often. It's not going to happen again any time soon." They're right, of course. It's not often that a game this monumental comes along. Even blockbuster Nintendo titles or Sony first-party games don't really garner this much fanfare.

One user is just happy to have another GTA, "This might sound a bit cringe, but I don't want to imagine a world where GTA VI doesn't exist lol. I wouldn't say that my life revolves around the game or I couldn't live without it, but GTA games have always been very close to my heart."
There are definitely a few people agreeing that some are going a little over the top with their posting on the subreddit, while many others are being bold saying things like, "For a lot of people, this will probably be the last GTA they play in their lives."
GTA VI will be here soon and for many, this is the biggest launch they've seen in the hobby, particularly for younger players. It's been 10 years since GTA V launched. For some, this is their first GTA launch, excitement is warranted.
