Fans of Grand Theft Auto are sure that Rockstar Games is preparing to drop the second trailer for GTA VI.
No, but for realsies. It has to be this time, right? It has been a year since the first trailer for GTA VI dropped, so we’re due another.
Is this one of the last times I link to the first trailer of GTA VI? God, I hope so.
This isn’t the moon theory, nor is it some wacky attempt at examining sub-pixels of a license plate on a car that references a developer’s child’s birthday who shares a star sign with a pop star from the first trailer.

I made that second one up, but the moon theory was a big thing on Reddit.
This new nugget of excitement comes in the form of a playlist update from Rockstar Games on YouTube.
It was revealed on Reddit, by an eagle-eyed user, that Rockstar Games updated the playlist, but why is this important?
The last time the company did this was right before the first trailer for GTA VI released.

For more context, this playlist hasn’t been updated since that moment either, which stands to reason that a new trailer is waiting in the wings.
Now, this could be waved off as another fan getting others hyped, only for it to be a false alarm.
However, these playlist updates do tend to reflect when a new video has been uploaded, even if it’s set to private.
The timing also works out as we are indeed a year out from the last trailer and with The Game Awards coming up, where GTA VI is bound to win ‘most anticipated’ game, this would get fans excited.

One Redditor does attempt to play down our excitement by mentioning, “Friendly reminder that there’s a big new GTA Online update due out this month… and they tend to drop early on in December before they’re out on holiday vacation.”
As ever, take it with a pinch of salt, but I feel like we should leave the clown makeup in the drawer on this one. I can feel it in my jellies.
