It has been well over a year since we received our first (and only) official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI and with the game expected to launch in just a few months, time is running out for our next look.
Fans are eagerly anticipating the second official trailer for Grand Theft Auto VI ahead of its launch this fall.

However, with Rockstar seemingly withholding the goods, it is down to guesses and rumours to estimate when this much-anticipated trailer will be released.

That being said, thanks to some recent news about Take-Two Interactive’s second most-anticipated 2025 release, Borderlands 4, we may have an idea of when the GTA VI trailer will air.
With the game due to launch on 23 September, Borderlands 4 recently received its second official trailer and after some quick maths, Twitter user GameRollGTA believes this reveals something about GTA VI’s trailer date.
"Borderlands 4 recently got its second trailer and it launches in seven months," they wrote.
"If GTA VI was to follow this same pattern, then we can expect Rockstar to drop trailer two towards the end of March. We have no reason to worry. Take-Two just utilises shorter marketing cycles these days."

However, in response to this theory, a fellow fan believes it may take a little longer.
"My guess is that if the game does release this year, the next trailer should be released near or around the next conference call in May,” they commented.
With Take-Two confirming that Grand Theft Auto VI is still set for a fall 2025 release and will not be delayed, this reassurance has been enough for fans.
However, a second trailer will definitely tide us over until then.

Here’s hoping this latest theory is correct and we can see it as early as next month.
