GTA fans get roasted for how quickly they turn their hype up to 11, but it’s hardly their fault. Without a second trailer (at the moment), they’re left to their own devices as they fill the gap.

Arguably, this is why the GTA VI hype train has started yet another journey. Fuelled by a Take-Two Interactive announcement, fans are convinced that elusive second trailer is coming.

It’s not like this train wasn’t already running thanks to a certain movie we’ve all been waiting for launching the same year. Still, this latest announcement has added more fuel to the fire, so to speak.

Let's gather round and watch the only GTA VI trailer we have

This August, Rockstar Games’ parent company is set to report on the first quarter of the 2025 fiscal year. Doesn’t sound that exciting in relation to GTA VI, does it?

Well, as Redditor Fun_Accountant2900 explains, this means we’re “likely” to see some GTA VI screenshots within the next month.

Allow them to explain, “Entirely speculation,” they begin, “but knowing the timing of when Rockstar released screenshots for GTA V and RDR2, we’re likely going to see GTA VI screenshots in under a month!”

Naturally, jokes have ensued about how easily earning calls can ignite the beacon of hope in this fandom.

While fans are gearing up to be disappointed, it makes sense why fans are hooked on every tidbit of information.

They’re starving.

Fans were “so starved” by the time the news of GTA VI launching broke, that ever since then they’ve clung to the notion that earning meetings mean new details will be revealed.

“We’re all just desperate for news,” remarked The_Ghost_Of_Pedro, and those words really hit home because it’s true.

Although it’s unlikely this announcement signifies another trailer or even some screenshots are on the way, players are trying to manifest the goods regardless.

They’ll take anything at this point.
