Rockstar Games’ publisher is very confident that GTA VI will release towards the end of 2025, great news for those fearing a delay.
While we still don’t have an exact release date, we finally know that GTA VI is planned to launch sometime during fall/autumn 2025 for the Xbox Series X/S, the PlayStation 5 and potentially PCs, though a PC port might come later and remains unconfirmed.
Check out the trailer for GTA VI below.
Now all we need is some actual gameplay, though there’s no telling when Rockstar plans to drop that long-awaited second trailer.

Of course, some fans are still sceptical about the game releasing in 2025, after all, changes to Rockstar’s way of working led to speculation the game could be pushed back to 2026 due to struggling development.
Enter Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick who put all of our minds at ease in an interview with CNBC.
The CEO said the release window of games is always determined by the “number of bugs" in the title, as many will have to be fixed before launch for a smooth player experience.
Zelnick went on to say, "Every one of us will make sure we have as few bugs in a title as possible before we launch,” and that the goal with GTA VI is to create "an experience that no one has seen before".

Zelnick finished his remarks by saying the recent narrowing of the release window was done because they are “highly confident in that timing”.
So as far as the developers and fans are concerned, GTA VI will be on our consoles by the end of 2025.
Of course, game development is no easy task so that’s always subject to change, but if Rockstar is confident it can get the game out by then, that’s likely when we'll get it.
