It’s always a hot topic of discussion related to the next entry in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series, especially when fans are wondering when GTA VI is coming out.
Following years of rumours, in December 2023, Rockstar Games released the first trailer for the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI. It sent fans into a frenzy across social media and now we eagerly await its arrival.

While Rockstar Games has not given us a solid release date for GTA VI at the time of writing, we did know that it was intended to launch sometime next year. That 2025 launch window was soon narrowed down with a launch set for late that year.

However, as we know with most AAA video games, perhaps more so when it comes to Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption, two of Rockstar Games’ biggest franchises, release date delays are almost as inevitable as Thanos.
That being said, as shared in a recent Reddit post, the late 2025 release window for GTA VI has been reiterated following an investor call with Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive. Of course, this release window should still be taken with a pinch of salt, because anything can happen between now and then.
The reiterated release window was confirmed alongside other games under the Take-Two Interactive banner including WWE 2K25, NBA 2K25, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game, Judas and CSR Racing 3.
In an ideal world, GTA VI will be released next year but it’s still not outside the realms of possibility that it might get pushed back until 2026, only time will tell.
