To say that Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series is massive would be an understatement with the likes of GTA V and GTA Online being one of the biggest cash cows in all of entertainment and not just in the world of video games.
Before Rockstar Games put us all out of our misery by releasing the first official trailer for GTA VI in December 2023, rumours and leaks were running rampant across the internet for the highly anticipated sequel. What’s more, alongside the debut trailer came the release window of 2025.

GTA VI has been in development for many years already so with the news of a 2025 launch window it was music to the ears of Grand Theft Auto fans. However, an analyst has cast a shadow over the announced release window of 2025 which may cause much disappointment if it proves to be true.

As reported by proactiveinvestors.com (via Wedbush Securities), following a recent financial report from Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two Interactive, an analyst has predicted that GTA VI might not release until 2026. Though to be fair, as we all know, release date delays are always likely especially when it comes to the Grand Theft Auto series.
If GTA VI is delayed (and it’s always a possibility), then Take-Two Interactive shares will likely take a hit, that is until the next trailer arrives. Of course, talk of a release window delay is mere hearsay at this time and we should take it with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.
What we know for sure, at least officially, is that Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to be released in 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. At the time of writing, a PC version hasn't been announced yet, but we’re sure that time will eventually arrive.
