The time is nearly here, within the next week or so we will be treated to the first official trailer for Rockstar Games’ GTA VI.

It’s been over a decade since the last major release in Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series, well, when you take out the various ports and remasters. Before now, Rockstar Games has had to contend with those infamous gameplay leaks and fans have only had speculation as a constant source of alleged information.

Check out our GTA VI news roundup video below!

Thankfully, Rockstar Games recently announced that the first trailer for GTA VI is on the way sometime in early December 2023. Of course, it’s easy to get hyped for this upcoming trailer, after all, we’ve been waiting a whole decade for the next new entry of Grand Theft Auto.

However, it might be wise to mute our expectations a little, just in case we get a mere snippet of gameplay and a logo. It would suck, but it’s not impossible. Though many would at least hope that we’ll get a release date for GTA VI. That being said, Rockstar Games is no stranger to delaying its games numerous times, so even if we do get a release date, it might not necessarily be set in stone. I know, I’m ever an optimist.

Despite it being wise not to get carried away, GTA fans on social media have been sent into a frenzy after the apparent pre-order date for Grand Theft Auto VI has leaked online. The apparent leak is via a customer service chat with UK retailer Argos. However, this “leak” should be taken with a massive pinch of salt.

An individual messaged Argos claiming to have been informed that the pre-order date for GTA VI is 12 December 2023. It’s also worth keeping in mind that this apparent date is a pre-order date and not the actual GTA VI release date. Assuming that this information is correct, it would make sense for Rockstar Games to make pre-orders available next month given the fact that is when it’s revealing the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer.

Again, take this speculation with a massive pinch of salt because it's no more than hearsay at this time. Naturally, we’ll keep you posted as and when we hear of further news related to GTA VI.

Grand Theft Auto VI is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S between 2024 and 2025
