Leaked map details for the highly anticipated GTA VI pretty much confirm that we’ll be playing the open-world Rockstar Games title for years.

Without question, Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest video game properties of all time, so it’s expected that when GTA VI is released, it’s going to be a massive event for the industry as a whole.

Check out the GTA VI trailer below!

The GTA series started with humble beginnings as a top-down action game in 1997 but it was no less controversial with its themes of criminal activity and graphic violence (for the time).

However, when GTA III was released in 2001, it not only changed the series but also the action-adventure genre setting a new benchmark for what an open-world game should be with its influence still making an impact to this very day.

Since that time, whether it’s GTA: Vice City, GTA: San Andreas, GTA IV or GTA V, the series kept getting bigger and arguably better with each new release, and Grand Theft Auto VI will likely be no exception.

Before Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA VI in December 2023, the infamous gameplay leaks were all over the internet, mostly featuring gameplay from an early build that in no way will be a true representation of the final product.

With those gameplay leaks came various forms of speculative data related to the potential plot which detailed Jason and Lucia, the main protagonists as well as some of the many activities that we’ll be able to take part in with GTA VI.

Some of those leaked details were shared by content creator, Dyllie on Twitter. It’s claimed that in one of the leaked gameplay clips, GTA VI will feature over 500 dynamic events such as side-missions, NPC interactions or secrets to discover.

The dynamic events include backyard wrestling, basketball, fishing, kidnapping (because of course), crazy golf, workout challenges (perhaps similar to GTA San Andreas) and much more.

Of course, these are unconfirmed rumours so we should take them with a pinch of salt until we get official confirmation. Hopefully, Rockstar Games will release new details on GTA VI in the coming months.

At the time of writing, Grand Theft Auto VI is currently scheduled to be released late this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Its inevitable PC release is yet to be officially revealed.
