With the rumoured October announcement day passing without any word from Rockstar, Grand Theft Auto fans are turning their attention back to the leaks in the hopes of spotting anything new from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6.
It’s been 84 years (slight exaggeration) since Grand Theft Auto 6 was revealed to be in development by Rockstar and since then the only information we have about the game has been courtesy of multiple leaks. It is these leaks in question that have hinted at a potential co-op mode and even a small section of the reported map. The map in question is once again up for scrutiny courtesy of one Reddit user.

“Here is every interesting thing I found regarding the Leaks, Patents, Writing and Development,” the post on r/GTA6 reads. “People have already analyzed everything in the leaks so I will just share the things that I found interesting and aren't talked about a lot.”

What follows is an extensive list of some interesting tidbits taken from the multiple leaks that have surfaced over the past year. In particular, the poster noticed that “we see a detailed map with lots of points of interest despite being a small section of the map.” This would continue on from the points of interest found in Grand Theft Auto V which ranged from random events and even more random characters to even the occasional robbery going down.
It also appears that Rockstar will be focused on including even more detail for Grand Theft Auto 6 as opposed to cutting back in GTA 5 to stop the risk of performance issues. “R* seems to be attempting to make a very dense world with highly advanced systems and graphics without sacrificing performance,” the post continues.
There are also hints at a more advanced character customisation system for the rumoured protagonists, Jason and Lucia as well as a “Sport Archetype” description which could mean sports will play a bigger role in GTA 6.
With the potential release date slipping further away, it is anybody’s guess when we will see Grand Theft Auto 6 but let us just hope it lives up to the ongoing hype.
