GTA VI’s map will extend way beyond Vice City, that’s at least according to an insider.

It’s another day, which means that it’s another round of Grand Theft Auto VI rumours. We know that Rockstar Games is currently working on the next entry in the goliath franchise, but in terms of official details, we’re still being left in the dark.

There have been rumours that GTA VI will feature two playable protagonists, named Jason and Lucia, said to be inspired by the infamous crime duo, Bonnie and Clyde. We’ve also heard rumours that GTA VI will see the return of the iconic series location, Vice City, Rockstar Games’ satire version of Miami. What’s more, speculation has claimed that the game might even take us across the border to Mexico.

However, as reported by Screen Rant, it seems that GTA VI will not only take us back to Vice City, as well as venturing into Mexico, but an alleged insider by the name of Matheusvictorbr claims that we’ll be taken to other South American regions and more.

In an initial tweet translated by Google, Matheusvictorbr claimed that GTA VI could begin with a prologue set in 2003 Brazil in which the protagonists’ parents are murdered by a rival cartel.

A Twitter user then replied to Matheusvictorbr’s tweet asking for confirmation that GTA VI will take place in Miami (Vice City) as well as parts of Brazil. To which the insider replied claiming that they’re 80% certain that the upcoming game will also feature parts of Cuba, Carcer City and more. In case you’re wondering, Carcer City is the fictional location where Manhunt was set.

I’m 80% confident of Carcer City, VC, Cuba, among others.

Obviously, we should take all unconfirmed rumours with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. That being said, hopefully, Rockstar Games will put us all out of our misery soon by releasing Grand Theft Auto VI’s first gameplay trailer and perhaps even a release date. Come on Rockstar, do it, you cowards!
