Grand Theft Auto fans are hungry and no, I don’t mean they’re in need of a snack.
They’re hungry for content.
Listen, it’s nice to hear Rockstar confirm that GTA VI is still on track to launch this year, but it doesn’t quite hit the same as, say, a second trailer or a selection of screenshots.

If the game is on track to launch this fall / autumn, which should see it land between September and November, you’d expect the game’s marketing to ramp up soon.
That’s why some fans are wondering whether trailer two will drop during today’s State of Play.
It feels like wishful thinking to me, but stranger things have happened.
Amidst this drought, some GTA VI fans have taken to comparing the topography of areas shown in GTA VI’s original trailer to their real life counterparts on Google Maps, and it’s an endeavour that’s proved just how detailed GTA VI will be.

For now, here’s that original trailer.
It was Reddit user 42326041 that began this activity, matching a shot in the trailer to a Google Maps scan of San Marino Island which links downtown Miami to Miami Beach.
“I almost wanna say the GTA VI version looks better,” remarked user GhostyWonders.

“I used to drive across there most days, they've done a great job of recreating it at night,” added Chev--Chelios.
A satisfied madasafish2010 wrote, “Despite GTA VI's Vice City being a scaled down version of Miami, it seriously looks big in the game regardless.”
“Release this damn game already Rockstar, we need it so bad,” commented Sanders67, echoing all of our thoughts.

If you’ve not yet cast your eyes over the GTA VI mapping project, I highly suggest you do.
Fans are using both the trailer and leaked materials to put together a map that they believe will somewhat reflect the end result we’ll eventually experience in-game.
A similar project was carried out ahead of GTA V’s release with stark accuracy.
For now though, patience, my friends.

They do say all good things come to those who wait. That being said, Rockstar, please. Drop that second trailer.
