GTA 6 Gamers Marking Their Calendars For November

Mark my words: we will know exactly what's going on with GTA 6 in the first half of November

Eagle-eyed Grand Theft Auto VI fans have already spotted exactly when Rockstar Games’ parent company will reveal some more info (and potentially even a trailer) about the game, following an official statement from Take-Two Interactive’s CEO last week.

On September 18 this month, Take-Two Interactive, the publisher in charge of Rockstar Games, held its Q1 2026 Earnings Conference Call.

Now I know that sounds boring, but there was a juicy piece of Grand Theft Auto VI information in there that pertained to the game’s release date.

As detailed in a piece by Rockstar Intel’s Aaron Trueman, Take-Two’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, revealed that Rockstar Games is planning to “share more details in the future” regarding the future of GTA VI. More importantly, however, he also reaffirmed its May 2026 release date.

“As we bring our exciting lineup to market, including Grand Theft Auto VI in Fiscal 2027, we expect to achieve record levels of Net Bookings that will establish a new baseline for our business and set us on a path of enhanced profitability”, stated Zelnick during the meeting.

Frankly, Zelnick’s comments regarding GTA VI’s release date don’t really hold much water, considering he told investors the same thing back in February this year… only for Rockstar Games to announce its delay a few months later.

However, the bit about sharing “more details in the future” is somewhat more interesting, because we know exactly what date “the future” is referring to.

As spotted by GTA 6 Countdown on Twitter, Take-Two Interactive have already scheduled their next earnings call– and it’s not as far away as you may assume.

For whatever reason, which I’m assumedly too poor to understand, Take-Two likes to schedule its last two earnings calls of the year much closer together. As you can see for yourself (by browsing through their earnings call history), they always hold the second-to-last call in mid-September, and then follow it up with a final earnings call in early November.

There is absolutely no way that investors are going to let Take-Two stay radio silent on Grand Theft Auto VI at that point. By November, GTA VI will only be six months away (provided that Rockstar Games does indeed stick to its current release date).

There are only two possibilities once we reach that November earnings call: either we’re getting a third trailer, or the game is getting delayed.

Actually, I suppose both could happen, so there are technically three possibilities. Either way, we’ll know for sure by then.
