Rockstar Games has reiterated on several occasions that Grand Theft Auto VI is still on track to launch this year and yet, I find myself feeling dubious.
I think perhaps I’m just in denial that after all of these years, it’ll finally be ours.
That being said, it doesn’t help that Rockstar is holding its cards close to its chest.

It’s been well over a year since the game’s first and only trailer landed.
Of course, I’m hyped, but I’d be more so if I’d seen some gameplay or actually placed a pre-order.
Hopefully before long our patience is rewarded.
Although not everyone is being entirely patient; some fans have revisited the major 2022 leak in pursuit of additional information about the game.

Of course, it’s worth keeping in mind that what featured in the game during a development build three years ago might not exactly appear in the final product.
That being said, if one particular feature does remain unchanged, it’s looking as if GTA VI will feature fishing as an open world activity - something fans are, for some reason, ridiculously hyped about.
For now, GTA VI’s reveal trailer remains all that’s available.
Don’t get me wrong, in-game fishing is nice and it’s certainly something I’ll partake in, but I can’t say it’s the number one thing I’m most eager to do.

Clearly though, that’s not the case for all fans.
“If this was aimed at me and my constant whining about wanting fishing in the game, I’m sorry. I’m just very excited,” Reddit user Ok_Cardiologist_54 said in a thread about the feature.
“If the fishing and hunting is at minimum on par with RDR2, I’m gonna be over the moon,” added Dirt-bikeraver90.
“I have a feeling fishing lakes and what not inland will be just as good if not better than RDR2. And that’s almost a given, and I AM excited about that…. But…what I’m REALLY hoping they add is ocean fishing,” replied Ok_Cardiologist_54.

Aresvallis76 simply declared, “10/10 game fishing involved.”
Well, don’t let me get in the way of the fishing enthusiasts.
