We’ve entered another Grand Theft Auto VI lull, but that’s to be expected.
Earlier this year, Rockstar Games surfaced to confirm that GTA VI would no longer be launching in 2025.
This delay coincided with the reveal of the game’s release date though, so swings and roundabouts.

GTA VI is now due to drop on 26 May 2026.
Naturally, fans were left disappointed by the delay, but that sentiment soon evaporated when Rockstar dropped the game’s long-awaited second trailer a few days later.
A trailer that, I should stress, was so visually impressive that no one realised it comprised 50% of gameplay.
We all suspected that following this, Rockstar would slink back into hiding and that’s exactly what they’ve done.

I shouldn’t think the GTA VI marketing will ramp up again until late 2025 at the very earliest.
However, there is one small GTA VI opportunity that has quietly surfaced; it’s a task that you can partake in to garner a limited-time freebie.
Rockstar Games and Discord have teamed up, offering Grand Theft Auto fans the chance to earn access to Discord Nitro.
All you need to do is watch GTA VI’s second trailer from within Discord’s quest system whilst signed into your account and you’ll gain one day’s access to Nitro.

Don’t know what Discord Nitro is?
It’s essentially Discord’s subscription system where users can share bigger files, personalise their profiles, upgrade their emojis, and enjoy HD streaming.
This offer is only due to run until 13 June, so I’d recommend you partake in it sooner rather than later.
Admittedly, one day’s access to Nitro isn’t the goldmine of prizes but hey, if you’ve ever been in doubt as to whether to subscribe or not, this is a great chance to get a feel for what Nitro offers.

Just as an added note, you will need to watch the entirety of the trailer to be eligible, so don’t click away from it once you’ve located the GTA VI Quest page on Discord.
