When GTA VI finally sees the light of day, it will have been a long time coming, after months of speculation, rumour, and hype.

As it stands, we have no idea how much GTA VI will cost, but we do know it will be coming to major consoles this year.

PC players are looking to buy Xbox Series S as a way to experience GTA 6 on release

Fans have been talking about the game for many years, and it’s becoming a cultural event sure to pull in more casual players, or those who haven’t played a game in years.

With this in mind, it has a lot of players wondering what the cheapest way to play GTA VI will be.

We’re not talking about the cost of the game itself, which should be announced by Rockstar Games soon, but which console is best for lower budgets.

Over on Reddit, one player wonders is Xbox Series S will be the best option to play, while still saving money.

In their post, they say, “would a Series S be enough for GTA 6? I exclusively play on PC but would like to play GTA 6 on release or close to release, and I'd also probably only play in 1080p.”

They go on to say, “It's the cheapest option for me since Series S' are available for around.”

It should be a good way to play the game upon release, but of course, many are worried that the console won’t showcase GTA VI properly, due to its limited power.

As one Redditor says, “It will run on series S, but there’s no point speculating on performance until the devs release that info. But I think it’s safe to say it won’t run at 60fps.”

While another user notes, “I wouldn’t worry about performance because it’s Rockstar. The dudes are wizards.”

As the Xbox Series S is the cheapest console on the market targeted by Rockstar Games for release of the upcoming blockbuster, it is the cheapest way to buy into the console ecosystem and play.
