In the past few days, Reddit has seen more activity in the GTA VI subreddit with fans speculating that the new Rockstar title could take place in more than one country.

User Denso95 has been trawling the past leaks to explore them in more detail. They've now started a thread with a disclaimer of sorts by saying, "As always, add one grain of salt to your salt shaker," and that's good advice because until we see a full reveal by Rockstar, this is all speculation.

Take a look at this incredible Vice City remaster mod.

Among the 40 topic points in their latest post, u/Denso95 digs around a section of the GTA VI project called "Americas". They have found mentions of both Mexico and Canada multiple times and there are hints towards a 'big water part of the map". These two facts together could see a much larger map than we've ever experienced if instead of just one city, we have the option to visit others in nearby countries.

Looking at point 18 in their post, they also mention seeing "US, Canada and Mexico flag next to each other. They are next to the 'Vice City Neighbourhood Enhance [unreadable word] Community Centre."

It seems too far-fetched that we'd have more than a few cities to explore due to the file sizes and the sheer amount of work that would have gone into the game - though Rockstar have certainly had time and they have the staff. We could see three select cities in each country. We already have a strong idea that Vice City is the US city, and previous leaks have shown cities 'inspired' by Latin countries.

Looking to the replies, there's a level of excitement that says many readers forgot their salt shaker. There are a lot of users expressing themselves with copious curse words that would make Rockstar proud, though there are a few who are tempering their expectations.

If the GTA VI map really is as big as some are guessing at, you can imagine we'll be discovering secrets, Easter eggs and points of interest, years after release... whenever that might be.
