Rockstar Games parent company Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed that GTA VI will have a 'Fall' 2025 release window, meaning the game's long-awaited release window has just been massively narrowed down.
If you've been following all things GTA VI since the game was officially unveiled last year you'll probably know that a 2025 release date was always on the cards.
In case you somehow forgot what it looks like, you can take a look at the debut trailer for GTA VI below. Go on, treat yourself.
However, while some of us may have been hoping for an earlier 2025 release, we know now that we're still over a year away from the next Grand Theft Auto.

During a recent earnings call held by Take-Two, the company confirmed: "our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games' previously established window of Calendar 2025 to Fall of Calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto VI."
This news will undoubtedly come as a welcome reassurance to fans following reports that the game may have been pushed back to 2026.
Of course, a lot can happen between now and the autumn of 2025, so let's all just hope that everything goes smoothly and Rockstar is able to deliver GTA VI as swiftly as it can while ensuring its staff aren't being worked to the bone to do so.
The only question now is how much time can you take off work when GTA VI launches next year? Will you forsake the usual summer holiday so you can hide inside all autumn like a goblin and explore the virtual sunshine of Vice City?

I know that's what I'm doing. My wife doesn't know yet, but I'm sure she'll understand when I explain the weather in Vice City in fall is infinitely better than it will be in the UK.
