Whether you like it or not (and most of you definitely do not like it) new-gen games continue to be more expensive than ever before.
Here in the UK, there's been plenty of concern over the fact that a brand-new PlayStation 5 game like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart or Horizon Forbidden West costs £70. And with the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S version of Grand Theft Auto V just around the corner, fans are already bracing themselves as they await news of the port's pricing.
The "expanded and enhanced" GTA V promises a ton of new graphical features and improvements that make the game look and run better than ever before on console. Expect upgraded texture and draw distances, ray-tracing, and 60fps. There'll also be faster loading times, 3D audio, and platform specific features like use of haptic feedback on PS5.

But how much should we expected to pay for these upgrades, when the game has already been out for coming up to a decade? A lot of players believe they should be able to make the switch for free, of course, but that looks unlikely to happen. Fortunately, it also looks like we aren't going to have to pay £70 this time around - although the rumoured price still isn't great.
According to a leaked listing from a Lithuanian retailer, the PS5 version of Grand Theft Auto V will €40. That's roughly £32, although the UK pricing is almost certain to be higher than a straight conversion.
Naturally, this hasn't gone down well with fans. One of the most upvoted responses to the leak on Reddit states that it should be a free upgrade, with others agreeing that the number of improvements don't appear to justify paying close to £40 for what is effectively the same game.
"Sucker Punch released a whole multiplayer mode for free for Ghost Of Tsushima," observed one critic. "And here we are paying 40 bucks for a PS3 game with PC graphics and faster loading times."

"If there is an upgrade path, for example a $10 upgrade, I MAY consider it," added another. "But if not then this is a hard pass."
It's worth noting that leaked retail listings should always be taken with a pinch of salt, but given that GTA V's new-gen port is set to release March 15 - just over a week away - it's more likely that retailers have been told how much the game is ahead of an actual confirmation from Rockstar Games.
We'll be sure to update this story as soon as Rockstar confirms pricing, which is expected to happen before the end of this week.
