Call Of Duty: Warzone's Rebirth Island is now home to three strange Golden Vaults and their contents are a point of contention among the community. One player has managed to wiggle their way into one of the Vaults, however, and they were met with a wonderful surprise... and a sting in the tale.
We know when the Golden Vaults will officially open - sort of. The Blood Money mode tasks players with collecting $40 trillion across their matches which will be split between everyone who has participated. Once that eye-watering $40 trillion target is hit, Activision will bestow 100,000 experience points to players and access to the Golden Vaults which will offer their goodies to those who make it there intact. I'm sure all of that sense of teamwork and camaraderie will fly out of the window and players will do everything possible to trip up their opponents on their way to the three Vaults.
Call Of Duty Mobile has just welcomed a famous face to the fray and I guarantee the announcement trailer is one of the most cursed things you'll see this weekend. Witness it here:
As a reminder, one Vault is located in the north-west of the island under the shack between the Bioweapons Lab and the Docks. The second is at the opposite end of Rebirth Island in the vicinity of the Stronghold and the third is under the Nova 6 Factory. They are definitely, definitely locked at the time of writing. But, that small caveat hasn't stopped a crafty player from attempting to snag a sneak peek. Spoiler - they were successful.
The method looks lethal but trust in the process. To achieve this, you'll need a friend and a vehicle. Stand in front of the Vault door. Said friend should drive towards you and when they hit you, the vehicle will push you through the collision on the door. Twitter user BobNetworkUK shoots at the door from the inside of the Vault in triumph once their efforts pay off and dives down to discover a load of loot that turns us green with envy.
But, BobNetworkUK doesn't know what we know. Because the Golden Vaults aren't officially active, there's no way of getting out. So there's no actual advantage to entering the Vaults and scooping up those special guns ahead of time. The whole thing is a bit poetic, isn't it?
