There are plenty of people out there who think that their mum is pretty cool, however, there are few more willing to get stuck in with geek culture than actress Jamie Lee Curtis.
It's no secret that Lee Curtis has always had a taste for the peculiar. As a scream queen, who has earned the title through her appearances in the Halloween franchise, she has never been one to shy away from something out of the ordinary. Now on Jimmy Kimmel live, the actress announced that her daughter Ruby asked her to officiate her and fiancée, Cynthia's wedding, complete in World Of Warcraft cosplay. A proposition she gleefully accepted.
While we're on the subject of cosplay, check out some of these absolutely unreal creations.
"So Ruby and Cynthia picked my costume which, her name is Jaina Proudmoore, it's from, anybody here know what that is? It's a game. I don't know. It's a game. She's an admiral."
Jaina is indeed an admiral for the alliance and one of the main protagonists for the Warcraft series. While Lee Curtis didn't act as if she knew much about the games themselves, it's far from her first time in Warcraft cosplay. In 2016, she showed up to the premiere of WoW film Warcraft fully dressed in Orc Shaman attire.
She has also previously admitted to her attendance at BlizzCon, the convention honouring all that is World Of Warcraft. The horror actress has admitted to attending the events disguised as different races from the franchise in order to hide her identity. In 2015, she attended the event as an undead with full make up and rubber face mask.
Lee Curtis was worried, however, that her costume would not be able to make it to her in time for the wedding. She claims that the seamstress she hired for the job of creating the cosplay on Etsy, lives in Russia, and has been suffering supply issues due to the ongoing war.
