A free mission is now available in the multiplayer title, Fallout 76 implemented in an update that also makes several fixes to the game.
When Bethesda launched Fallout 76 in 2018, it’s fair to say that it had a very bumpy road to get where it is today. Fallout 76 was plagued with game-breaking bugs, missing features and server issues that understandably put fans off instantly.

Some of those Fallout fans have never returned but for those that have stuck with the multiplayer RPG, Fallout 76 is in a much better state now and a closer resemblance to what had been promised all those years ago.

The latest free update has arrived to kick things off with season 18, ‘Milepost Zero - Country Road’ and arguably the star of the update is the quest ‘A Bump in the Road’.
“Near the border of Skyline Valley, you will come across the ruins of an abandoned headquarters once owned by the Blue Ridge Caravan Company. They have had a challenging time operating within the presence of the storm, but luckily for them you arrive,” the description of the quest begins.
“A seasoned traveller of the region, well-versed in all forms of combat and even a few forms of diplomacy (although that will not work here). The company decides to give you franchising rights to start your own caravan branch under their flag.”

It continues: “Once set up, you will escort caravans across the Shenandoah region and recruit a strong crew of varying professions. This crew will help you build up your own personal outpost where new rewards await you.”
It’s worth mentioning that to begin ‘A Bump in the Road’ quest, you will first need to be at least level 20 in Fallout 76. If you are that level, look out for a flare in the sky coming from the Stony Man Lookout found in the Skyline Valley.
As well as the free quest and bug fixes, the update will also provide more options when crafting legendary items, you can rate and share other players' camps, start your own caravan and much more.
The update weighs in at between 82GB and 96.5GB on PC, 92.7GB on PlayStation and 96.6GB on Xbox. Fallout 76 will also need to be uninstalled to download the latest batch.
