Fallout fans are thrilled with early footage of a game that is channelling the retro stylings of the early games in that franchise.
Underrail 2 is an isometric RPG that takes its inspirations from the Fallout franchise and builds on them with a bevy of systems and mechanics.
If you want more Fallout vibes, then get over to Fallout 76 which is getting better with each update
New footage from the game has appeared on Reddit, leaving fans incredibly pleased with the progress being made by the development team at Stygian Software.

The footage shows that the game is pulling away from its turn-based roots and opting for shorter actions to create faster gameplay in a roguelike style.
Of course, it’s keeping the isometric view and the world-building design we’ve seen in the previous game.
“You can tell styg went hard with new mechanics,” said Fresh_Strawberry9207.
“We are so back,” comments another Redditor after watching the footage.

I’ll freely admit, I had no idea this game existed until today, but as a huge fan of old school Fallout, this has piqued my interest.
The style of the game is right up my street, with plenty of post-apocalyptic action and a society living life underground.
“Dawg, the new graphics look great,” says the_millenial_falcon.
Wallander123 agrees and comments, “This looks absolutely fantastic.”

One Reddit user is thinking the same as me by saying, “I'm getting Disco Elysium and DayZ vibes from this. Love it! Can't wait to play it.”
As someone who is coming to this blind, I’m not just getting Fallout vibes, but plenty of Metro 2033 feelings, too.
ApateNyx said on Reddit, “I love the look of the improvements.”
This is going to be one to keep an eye on if you like your apocalyptic narratives and deep exploration.

The alpha footage is already shaping up nicely, and if it continues in this direction, we’ve got a cracking new PC adventure to play soon.
