Unlucky 'Elden Ring' Player Discovers Weakest Boss Actually Has A One-Shot Kill

Well that was terrifying

In Elden Ring, even the joke bosses are capable of turning round and ending your life in one hit - a lesson one player was unlucky to discover while recently exploring The Lands Between.

One of the funniest - and easiest - bosses in Elden Ring is the Spiritcaller Snail. This shelled gastropod might seem imposing at first, as it's completely invisible and summons much more powerful enemies to fight. But once you realise you can ignore its summons and absolutely wail on its pathetic form, which becomes super easy to spot when you know what to look for, the battle can be over in seconds.

Take a look at some of the best Elden Ring wins and fails below!

The Spiritcaller Snail itself is an absolute pushover, and will essentially simply flop around uselessly while you wail on it - or so we thought.

As shared by Reddit user Psychadelico, it turns out the Spiritcaller Snail actually has a devastating attack. You can see in the video below that one unfortunate Tarnished was facing the boss when it suddenly leapt onto their face and drained their health down to nothing. It's fair to say that very, very few of us knew this was a thing the Spiritcaller Snail could even do.

"Huh. I didn't even know it had attacks," joked one user. They're not wrong though, after multiple playthroughs and more than one encounter with the Spiritcaller Snail (it shows up in a few places) I'd never in a million years have guessed that it could attack players - much less with so much ferocity.

A lesson, as if any of us needed one, that even the most pathetic creatures in Elden Ring deserve our respect and constant vigilance.
