Elden Ring fans who explored the DLC might have fought against Romina and found the fight a little underwhelming.
While the boss and her arena are a sight to behold, the fight can be seen as easier than others due to her over-the-top movement that allows players to prepare for counterattacks, making her one of Fromsoftware’s tamer bosses.
Shadow of the Erdtree drastically expanded Elden Ring last year
Romina comes into the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC at the halfway point, prepping players for the trip to the end of the expansion and the discovery of Miquella.

If you found the fight to be on the easy side, then there’s a mod out there that ramps up the challenge - perfect for those who want to fight her again.
Romina - Bud of Rebirth is a challenge mod that the creator developed after their community chose the Romina fight to be tweaked.
The result is a much tougher experience than the base game offered, with several changes to the overall fight, her health pool, and her attacks.
As described on the NexusMods page, Romina has a new combo pattern, her second phase starts once her health bar is depleted, rather than at 50%, and she now summons more butterflies in her are of effect ability.

On top of this, while her base health has been decreased, her poise and defence has shot up, making it harder to riposte her.
While I’ve not tried the mod myself, I’m intrigued by the addition of an ‘ultimate’ ability for Romina which has been inspired by Melania’s Water Fowl Dance - an attack I simply hate.
So, if you’re playing on PC, and want to increase the difficulty of this fight, it’s worth checking out the mod, and keeping an eye on the creator.
There are plans to tweak more boss fights within Elden Ring, so your favourite might be next.
