Dragon’s Dogma 2 recently got a full showcase, giving fans a taste of what to expect from Capcom’s newest RPG, as well as when it drops.
The showcase aired yesterday offering us a full 30 minutes of gameplay, with a bit of exploration, combat, boss encounters, and some questionably cheesy dialogue sprinkled in for good measure.
Take a look at the trailer for Dragon’s Dogma 2 below.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be a new-gen title only, meaning it’ll launch for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and of course PCs.

Like most RPGs, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a narrative-driven adventure set in a fantasy world, and from what we saw in the gameplay trailer, it’s looking fantastic so far.
After introducing the world of Vermund and those who rule it, the gameplay showed off some of the new faces joining the cast, after all, companions were the most important parts of the first game. While other RPGs have set allies to join you on your quest, whether it be tied to a main story mission or side content like Baldur’s Gate 3, the Dragon’s Dogma games use pawns instead. Pawns are hireable allies you can find throughout the world, of which you can hire several at a time to aid you in battles or just keep you company on your journey.
The characters in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will reportedly interact with the player in different ways depending on how you treat them, with different races like elves and humans having different preferences and attitudes towards the player.
Capcom’s showcase ended with a spectacular battle against a man-made boss called Talos, an enormous statue the player and their party had to scale like they were straight out of Shadow Of The Colossus.
